I have always lived with passion!

My Passionate Life! I have always lived with passion. I have always been passionate about God, my family, friends and fun! In our early marriage we purchased lake property to enjoy the boat we had bought with our first married income tax return. The used boat was quite small, but we were very proud of it and learned to water ski. Our lake property was always filled with friends and family on week ends and brought about many life-long memories.

In addition to water skiing, we added snow skiing, biking (we rode the Seattle to Portland bike ride several times) as well as school and sporting activities as our children grew older. Eventually, we sold our lake property and purchased a winter home in Peoria, AZ. We spent 25 years playing and enjoying friends in the Valley of the Sun.

As you well know, along with aging come some incredible changes in what you can (or can’t) do! We are still passionate about most of the same things, but the activities have changed a bit! My latest passion is working with the reading program among third graders. I am privileged to be the mother-in-law of an incredible teacher. Steve left his position as a CPA to enter the world of teaching, as of last year. He strongly believes in learning with fun. When he asked if I would like to help with the reading program, I jumped at the chance. I work with children who are behind in their reading skills. It is my high honor to assist children who have been left behind though no fault of their own. I love those children and they return my love. I only did this for a couple of months last year and expect to get involved again in another week. Although I do miss some of the activities we enjoyed in our youth, I am passionate about helping children and find it very rewarding.
